Matruvan, Pitruvan, Acharyavan Purushoved,” meaning a child has three gurus: first the mother, second the father, and third the teacher. In the modern education system, there seems to be a lack of all three of these gurus. Currently, neither parents have the time, nor do qualified teachers contribute to the all-round development of the child. However, in the present times, only value-based, quality-oriented, ethical education, imbued with patriotism and devotion to parents, can ensure the holistic development of children. To implement such principles, the Gurukul tradition established by Rishi Dayanand is an excellent option. In the ancient education system, children from poor and wealthy families studied together in Gurukuls, and caste discrimination had no place in this type of education. However, in the present times, this kind of education is largely absent. Today, even deserving students are unable to pursue higher education due to lack of funds. The poet Maithili Sharan Gupt writes on this subject: “Thousands of disciples studied, but no fees were charged. That higher education was not sold for paltry sums of money.” We are striving to follow that same Gurukul tradition. Guru Gurukul Mahavidyalaya, Kartarpur, is committed to the all-round development of children. Therefore, following the tradition of free education, the Gurukul provides free education to all students. The rules and regulations for the 2026-27 academic session are being published. On this occasion, I extend a warm welcome, greetings, and best wishes to both new and old students, and I hope that every student of the Gurukul will play their part in building an Arya nation after completing their studies.<\/p>\n\t
