PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

The primary objective of this society is to benefit the world, that is, to promote physical, spiritual, and social progress. This statement, formulated by Rishi Dayanand, is a matter of concern for all educators today. Is such an education system available today that fosters the physical, spiritual, and social development of children? The present age emphasizes scientific reasoning, yet there seems to be a lack of self-confidence among the youth. This leads them to resort to superstition. Today's youth are intelligent, but physically weak. They receive ample financial benefits for their advancement, but a lack of patriotism and respect for parents is also evident. This indicates that there is a deficiency in the modern education system. Through the Gurukul tradition, Rishi Dayanand aimed to bring about physical, spiritual, and social progress in the lives of students. The Gurukul is a place where students, under the guidance of their teacher, continuously strive for progress in their lives. The teacher also has the responsibility to meticulously observe the student's structured daily routine and ensure their all-round development. The birthplace of Rishi Dayanand's guru, Guru Virjanand, is Kartarpur, and it is on this very land that the Guru Virjanand Gurukul Mahavidyalaya, managed by the Guru Virjanand Smarak Samiti Trust, Kartarpur, is located. The proper use of modern technologies, a structured daily routine, efficient administration, training by qualified teachers, and a completely free education system are the main attractions of this Gurukul. Our objective is the all-round development and personality building of our students. I extend my heartfelt greetings and welcome to all new and old students for the 2026-27 session and hope that they will follow the rules of the Gurukul, achieve all-round progress, and play their role in nation-building.
