26 APRIL 2025- NEW STUDENTS WELCOME CEREMONY

A welcome ceremony was held today at Guru Virjanand Gurukul Mahavidyalaya, Punjab's only Sanskrit learning center, to extend a warm welcome to the newly admitted students. The entire program was conducted by senior students of the Gurukul, Hitansh Arya and Harsh Chandan. The program commenced with Vedic chanting and the lighting of the lamp. The lamp was lit by the esteemed hands of Principal Shri Dhruv Kumar Mittal, Dr. Sudhir Sharma, Swadesh Mittal, Shiv Mittal, and Hansraj Mishra. The Principal of the Gurukul, Shri Dhruv Kumar Mittal, blessed all the newly admitted students and wished them a bright future. In his address, he highlighted the importance of Arya traditions, Vedic lifestyle, and disciplined study.
The senior students traditionally welcomed the new students with garlands, fostering a sense of belonging among them. On this auspicious occasion, several sports competitions and cultural programs were also organized, in which the students participated enthusiastically. The winning students were awarded cash prizes. These activities promoted mutual cooperation, healthy competition, and a sense of community. Dr. Sudhir Sharma, Vice-President of the Guru Virjanand Memorial Committee Trust and a generous benefactor, presented the prizes to the children and encouraged them to strive for continuous progress in life. Finally, the Acharya (teacher) addressed all the students, offering them best wishes and blessings for their future lives. All the office bearers of the Trust, all the teachers of the Gurukul, the parents of the children, and other dignitaries of the town were present on this occasion.
